Generalized Overconfidence Task (GOT)

All resources for the GOT can be found on my GitHub.

The GOT measures general overconfidence—that is, the extent to which people believe they are better than they actually are, regardless of the task. By using a chance-based task, the GOT allows us to disentangle overconfidence from actual differences in ability, allowing confidence ratings to conceptually represent overconfidence.

Expressions of Self-Censorship (ESC)

Resources for the ESC can be found here.

The ESC measures the different 'expressions' of self-censorship. We suggest self-censorship may not only be when people fail to voice their opinion, but also cases where people voice an opinion that is not genuine. That is, self-censorship can occur whether someone filters or softens their opinions, conforms to group norms (vocally or silently), or engages in any number of other behaviors, so long as they withhold their genuine opinion.

The preprint is available here.
